In 1938 members began to meet and hold Sunday school services in the old Haile Gold Mine schoolhouse, located about four miles northeast of Kershaw, SC. When an acre of land, approximately one-half mile east of the old schoolhouse site, was donated to the church the new church was built and the first service was held on June 19, 1941. There have many changes in the church over the years. Many people have passed through the doors of this church and have been blessed by the ministry of this church. God continues to work in the lives of these people and in this church.
